Proficiency with web-based software
3-5 years minimum experience leading or volunteering in a kids ministry of at least 150 attenders
Ability to develop recruit & train volunteer leaders
Demonstrates ability to develop a volunteer leadership team
Delegates tasks and leads other staff, including those on an equal organizational level
Responsibilities of the pastoral position include but are not limited to:
Outreach
Regularly invite unchurched people to Parkway Fellowship
Create and maintain a system of outreach to Preschool & Elementary families in order to recruit new participants
Discipleship
Oversee and implement a comprehensive Kids Group program
Strategically plan all Kids Group programming and deadlines for each semester
Recruit, background check, and train all Kids Group volunteers
Sunday Services
Participate in all Sunday morning Kids Ministry activities as assigned by the Kids Pastor
Help evaluate, update, and communicate the most effective safety and security plans for participating kids
Help troubleshoot computers and keep hardware up to date, and ready for use
Special Events, Administrative, and Miscellaneous
Help maintain the vision of partnering with parents through the implementation of all major milestones per the Kids Pastor
Ensure Kids Small Group webpages stay current with the help of the Kids Operations Coordinator
Assist in pastoral duties as needed like baby dedication, baptisms, hospital visits, hosting, etc.
Edit, and keep up-to-date all Kids Group Manuals/Playbooks
Create and maintain a system for evaluating the health of Kids Groups
Attend weekly All Staff meetings, Kids Staff meetings, Run Thru & Evaluation as needed
Assist the Kids Pastor with any required or assigned overarching tasks
Schedule
Full-time (40+ hrs./wk.), with benefits
Located in the Greater West Houston area, our mission is, “To reach the lost at any cost and grow them to maturity”. We have a vision to effectively minister to 10% of our community every week. Parkway opened in 2003 and currently has 2 locations. Our current attendance is 2,500 at the Westpark location and 550 at our North Katy location, with a thousand more online. We have plans for future expansion at both locations and starting additional locations.
