Youth Director - Part time - Texas

Walden Community Church, located in Montgomery, Texas, is seeking a passionate individual with strong Christian values to lead and develop our youth group (grades 6-12)

The candidate must have strong organizational and leadership skills, a mature vision for mission/outreach, and a passion for mentoring youth.

In your position you will create and implement a brand new Youth Ministry program which will include a Sunday morning study, and a Wednesday evening youth night.

We would also like to see small groups in homes, mission/outreach opportunities, summer camp, winter camp, and ecumenical opportunities in the future.

It is strongly encouraged that the candidate be enrolled in or a graduate of some form of Bible school or has a youth or education background.

The Youth Director will be a staff member at the church and will fulfill all the roles they are given.

REQUIREMENTS:

• This staff member must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have the ability, initiative and passion to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ through a variety of youth ministry models to Students.
• This staff member must have the ability to establish mentoring relationships with students through a variety of avenues including social media as well as the ability to communicate well with students, parents, the Church and Christian Education Boards and other members of the church.
• This staff member must have the ability to work well with others in a team atmosphere.
• This staff member must have the ability to: organize, plan, teach and supervise youth lessons and activities; recruit, motivate and train others in student ministries.
• This staff member should be proficient and knowledgeable in presentation software and modern technology (including email, texting, facebook, twitter, youtube, Microsoft office etc)

STATUS: Hourly Part time // must live within a reasonable driving distance

The nature of this job is flexible and thus the work schedule is flexible. However, the Youth Pastor must work on Sundays and come to staff meetings on Tuesday Afternoons and be here Wednesday evenings for youth group.
