Our goal is to worship God and work faithfully at the things Jesus left for us to do, becoming more like Him in the process.
As a church, we believe that doing this together will produce the following things that we call “Gospel-culture”
Gospel Culture:
- Identity – Believers are God’s treasured possessions, sons and daughters of the King. We must realize this new identity by living dynamic, Spirit-led lives with entirely new priorities and standards.
- Growth – We want to grow urgently, becoming more like Christ in gentleness and love while growing deeper in our study of and obedience to God and His word.
- Community – We want our church body to represent the same diversity in age, culture, and perspectives as our city, but love each other even in our differences so genuinely that it is inexplicable apart from the power of Christ.
- Impact – We want to be known for our vulnerability living out the Gospel in everyday relationships to make a Kingdom impact in our circles of influence, neighborhoods, workplaces, and families.
Located in Bakersfield California, Resurrection Church is in the Central Valley region of California with an easy drive to Los Angeles with all it has to offer. Bakersfield is somewhere that you could Ski, and be at the beach within hours of each other.
It's a growing, thriving, beautiful place to live. Bakersfield offers a small-town charm, outdoor adventures, with beautiful scenery and agriculture that has shaped the area surrounding Bakersfield.
