Administrative Assistant Job Description
Full-Time Position | Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Purpose: Assist the India Gospel Outreach (IGO) staff team with various administrative tasks to fulfill IGO’s mission, which is to establish a dynamic church in every zip code of India. 

Why serve with IGO? You will have the opportunity to serve with an established Christian missions organization (since 1984) and learn the importance of connecting with prayer partners, supporters and those serving in the mission field. 

Qualities required

  • Committed to Christ and His Great Commission
  • A positive attitude to serve
  • A team player
  • A cheerful demeanor
  • Committed to the Holy Bible as the final authority and to the ministry of the Holy Spirit
  • A heart for world missions with a willingness to serve the people of India

Skills required

  • 2-4 years prior office work experience
  • Highly organized
  • Good with numbers/arithmetic
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Graphic design knowledge will be a plus
  • Self-starter; initiative-taker
  • Advanced computer skills/tech-savvy, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Suite applications; experience with giving software, social media platforms, and Constant Contact will be a plus

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Front desk reception
  • Answering phone calls
  •  Data-entry
  •  Bulk-mailings
  • Processing credit card transactions and electronic funds transfers
  • Ordering of office supplies
  • Reorganizing and maximizing office space
  • Daily, bi-weekly and monthly driving trips to post office/bank, and store for supplies (valid CA driver’s license and excellent driving record required)
  • Database creation (in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets)
  • Manage giving software (i.e., Denari)
  • Constant Contact administration
