Nurse Manager

Objectives of the position:  The Nurse Manager oversees the medical aspects of the SCV Pregnancy Center’s clinic operations and services provided to the clients.

Reports to:  Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director

Qualifications:

1. Committed Christian and active involvement in a church.
2. Commited to the Biblical perspective of sexuality, marriage, and abortion.
3. Agree with and uphold the Policies and Statement of Faith and Principle.
4. Self starter, dependable, stable, and follow through on commitments.
5. A sincere desire to reach out to abortion-vulnerable clients.
6. Has a current Registered Nurse’s license within the state of California and CPR certification.
7. One year of experience in Ob/Gyn nursing preferred and/or a pregnancy care center or clinic, a related field, or willing to attend training.
8. Exhibit strong interpersonal, administrative and management skills.

Major Responsibilities of Nurse Manager:

Trains medical volunteers and staff; updates clinic policies and procedures; maintain a working knowledge of nursing methods, principles, and practices in relation to the prevention and treatment of diseases, safety, and infection control; ensures compliance with infection control guidelines; meets with CEO routinely and medical committee monthly; sees that the current licenses are on file for physicians and nurses; ensures that all clinic staff have an annual physical, TB tests (as required) and OSHA trainings;  that medical equipment is properly operated and maintained; and supervision, administration, and public relations related to clinic operations.
