Facility Manager

Fox Valley Christian Action is committed to partnering with local church congregations to love and care for families in the public, subsidized and low-income private housing communities of the Fox Valley.  Our passion is to see lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are currently seeking candidates for our Facility Manager position.   We are looking for candidates with great skills and a passion for the work of God’s Kingdom; specifically, with a heart for serving families in under-resourced communities.

The ministry of FVCA is headquartered on an 85-acre camp facility on the banks of the Fox River.  Over the last 15 years we have made $5M of improvements to our facilities!  This position includes oversight and hands-on maintenance of all of our facilities including:

• 15 Buildings, 85 acres of property, water & sewage plant operations, 14 vehicles and small engine equipment
  • Day to day maintenance & repairs
  • Cleaning & setup for events
  • Long term improvement projects
• Building and managing a small staff team and large volunteer team
• Building and coordinating a team of skilled professionals who donate their time and professional skills to the maintenance function

Qualified Candidates must:

• Demonstrate a passion for Jesus Christ and the work of His Kingdom, specifically for holistic ministry to the poor
• Have strong technical skills in basic maintenance of buildings, grounds, mechanical systems, vehicles and equipment
• Work well in developing and managing a team of staff
• Be a great networker; to build a team of volunteers and professional service providers to serve alongside our paid facility staff
• Be capable of planning and executing a wide variety of facility improvement projects
