Position Summary: The Human Resources & Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting in the implementation of duties affecting the human resource functions of WorldVenture including all benefits administration.
Position Responsibilities:
Human Resources
- HRIS management, to include new employee onboarding and orientation for staff and International Workers, personnel files, benefits information and processing, ACA processing and reporting
- Coordinate insurance billing and records with employees, the Finance Department, and vendors
- Manage expenses in Expensify
- Assist in the maintenance of personnel records for home office employees
- Assist in the annual health benefit renewal process for domestic and international staff
- Assist in claims processing and reimbursement for international staff health insurance plan
- Maintain years of service records for employees and prepare certificate/awards annually
- Handle employee relations questions and escalate as necessary
- Provide redundancy for general human resources activities
Payroll
- Routine computation of wages of organization employees
- Prepares payroll information and reports
- Calculates employee earnings based on time sheets
- Tracks time sheet information in system
- Maintains appropriate records to support all payroll transactions including salary changes, deduction changes, and name and personnel information changes
- Process internal functions for monthly payroll
- Organizational point of contact for employees with respect to payroll-related questions
Finance
- Research (survey), prepare, and analyze results for corporate benchmarking and change initiatives
- Prepare legal and tax letters for organization and international workers
- Prepare periodic (annual, quarterly, monthly) regulatory and third-party applications and forms for management
- Maintain department documentation of policy, procedure, and practices
- Collect personal tax information for International Workers
- Coordinate with external tax preparer the preparation of the personal tax returns for International Workers

- Working practical knowledge of organization payroll policy and system used
- Working knowledge of government regulations related to payroll processing
- Working knowledge of tax requirements and guidelines

Education or Formal Training:
- Bachelor’s degree required; minimum of 3 years’ human resource experience preferred; human resource certification preferred, or willingness to pursue
