In 1998, God put a dream in David Stine’s heart to plant a life-giving, multicultural church in our nation’s capital that would be influential in building a God-first culture throughout the DC Metro area. For the next nine years, David and his wife, Taryn, continued to pray and seek God’s timing for this dream. In the summer of 2007, David and Taryn knew the time had come, so they packed their bags and moved across the country to Alexandria, Virginia, with seventeen individuals to embark upon the adventure of their lives. On September 9, 2007, DC Metro Church launched under the covering of the Association of Related Churches, and the dream that Pastor David and Taryn had been stewarding in prayer for the previous nine years became a reality. Today, DC Metro Church has grown to over 2,500 attendees on the weekend among two locations in Alexandria and Fairfax, Virginia. DC Metro's mission is to build a God-first, multicultural church, meeting in multiple locations, that influences the culture one person at a time.

The Executive Assistant will be instrumental in organizing the details and day-to-day functionality of Pastor David Stine's schedule. This position will need to multitask travel arrangements, off-site/on-site meetings, the church calendar, Executive team correspondence, and many other details relating to Pastor David. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to anticipate needs, provide hospitality to guests, write and edit documents, and relate to staff in a fast-paced setting.

The successful Executive Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven, and community oriented. They will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects from conception to completion and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

A bachelor's degree is required for the Executive Assistant. They will likely have five to ten years of experience supporting executives, preferably in a church or non-profit organization. They must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms.
