Is there anything greater than giving millions of children around the world every year the opportunity to HEAR and RESPOND to the Gospel and be EQUIPPED and mobilized to SHARE the love of Jesus with others? The Manager, The Greatest Journey will serve on the Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child – USA International Team based in Boone, North Carolina, working to provide management, strategy and support for all aspects related to the implementation of the “The Greatest Journey” (TGJ) – the Operation Christmas Child discipleship program impacting almost three million children a year in the ten OCC regions globally. Under the direction of the Senior Manager, the TGJ Manager will work in coordination with Regional Directors (RD) and Regional Managers (RM) sharing the vision of this amazing opportunity while coaching the implementation of the planning, logistics, training, communication and reporting components for TGJ in each region in order to expand the scope of participation beyond three million children to five million children per year within five years. This position will also coordinate directly with other areas of the ministry such as the Field Support Team in the areas of material translation, logistics and training, as well as Donor Ministries and OCC Domestic regarding TGJ promotion and the compilation of compelling stories and data.

 

 A candidate who is called and equipped for these responsibilities will:

1) organize and coach training specialists around the world focused on TGJ.

2) consult for respective RDs and RMs as they develop and monitor regional and country specific TGJ training and implementation plans.

3) develop appropriate tracking tools to ensure effective execution of set goals in each region.

4) coordinate with the field support team to strengthen existing and develop new training programs and materials.

5) oversee the development of Master Trainer, Teacher Trainer and Local Contact roles and training development

6) provide strategic thought and development to new initiatives related to TGJ

7) manage assigned special projects.

 

 Prerequisites: Bachelor’s degree; 3-5 years related project management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience living and working internationally preferred. International travel of 85-100 days per year required.

The story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37) gives a clear picture of God's desire for us to help those in desperate need wherever we find them.
