Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is seeking a skilled marketing and promotions-oriented leader ready to provide support and deliverables for the purpose of children coming to know Jesus Christ, in the position of Diverse Markets Manager.
Reporting to the Assistant Director for Promotions, the Diverse Markets Manager will manage, grow and deepen the Operation Christmas Child ministry brand and public awareness, as well as generate more shoe box gifts annually through a specific focus on partnering with diverse and minority national churches, ministry and community organizations. The initial focus will be on Spanish speaking audiences, with growth into other diverse markets. The position seeks to establish ministry/community group partnerships resulting in more shoe box gifts which allows more opportunity to share the Gospel with children worldwide.
The ideal candidate will have experience in establishing promotional and marketing partnership in a ministry or non-profit setting. Candidate must be able to thrive in a fast paced and growing ministry, and have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Experience in presenting proposals and executing plans at all levels of organizations is required. Strong emphasis will be placed on applicants who can demonstrate a passion for children's evangelism in their background, and a desire to see more children come to know Jesus through Operation Christmas Child. This position seeks also to facilitate national partnerships that promote OCC as well as equip local volunteers to partner with local community groups to gain publicity and participation with the purpose of expanding Operation Christmas Child shoe box generation throughout the U.S.
The best fit for this position is a strong leader, who can also take direction and messaging well and is very results oriented; and who is fluent in Spanish. A Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university couples with a track record of success in growing and building promotional relationships is required. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred. Must maintain a personal relationship with and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. This position is scheduled to begin January 1, 2015.
