Samaritan's Purse has an incredible ministry and professional opportunity for the position of The Greatest Journey Marketing Manager. This role will develop and implement an annual funding program for Operation Christmas Child’s discipleship initiatives at the grass-roots level to affinity groups.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Brand Development, the essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: creating, developing, and managing current and new streams of grass-roots, repeatable funding; developing new strategies to support the $6 repeatable gifting program; seeking opportunities to integrate grass-roots funding the discipleship wherever appropriate with Samaritan’s Purse audiences; leading support team and collaborate with OCC teams and other ministry departments; working with other ministry departments to evaluate and report progress; overseeing marketing and promotional appeals at the grass-roots level; and researching trends to learn best practices for grass-roots funding. Annual travel averages 50 nights per year.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Twelve credit hours of college-level biblical studies strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal skills are required and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. This person must be a creative and strategic thinker and have exceptional interpersonal skills. Most importantly, ideal candidate will have a genuine heart for doing work in Jesus’ name, and will maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries and the general public.
