Cross Timbers Community Church was started by Pastor Toby Slough in 2000 with the vision to bring The Church to the unchurched. Since then, they have grown from a small group of people meeting in the back of a local bar into a community of believers numbering 4,000 who know that their story and the stories of others would be different if not for the love and grace of Jesus.
Cross Timbers is the home to thousands of people, with campuses in Argyle, Denton, Eagle Mountain, and Keller, and an online campus. Toby was given a God-sized vision for the next generation. This vision is at the heart of Cross Timbers: “Asking God for 10,000 spirit-filled, baptized believers walking in freedom, and committed to meeting the needs of the poor and the broken, both locally and around the world, in the next 10 years.”
The Creative Director will provide leadership, vision, and direction for the Creative Team, Worship, and Production departments of the church. This position will bring unified vision and leadership, creative passion, and collaborative synergy to these departments with the goal of creating excellent environments so that people can experience the life-change that Jesus brings and how we share those stories of life change with the world. Additionally, the Director will work to bring creativity and excellence to the worship experience including worship, production, and message series execution. The candidate will be evaluated on the success of the team, not just by individual performance. Cross Timbers wins when this team wins. This person will work periodically with the Lead Pastor to develop and execute message series.
The successful candidate will be creative, organized, and able to multi-task and thrive in a deadline intensive environment. This individual will effectively organize a professional and logical creative process for each project from concept to reality at the same time; have the flexibility to adapt to the entrepreneurial spirit of the Lead Pastor. They will provide quality control in addition to precision and accuracy, while meeting various simultaneous deadlines. The successful candidate will foremost be an expert at capturing the life changing stories of the Cross Timbers community and create multiple mediums to communicate these stories. Although they will not be leading worship, the Creative Director will oversee all production and creative elements for weekend worship services including all four campus locations and online. Expereince with video production is highly desired.
